Graphic Equaliser ; good for decreasing a narrow frequency band to reduce feedback. Avoid ‘smiley face’, ‘all boosted’ or ‘all cut’ settings. Use it as a subtle tool, not as an instrument !

Limiters ; can be used to prevent amps being overdriven, but need careful setting or they will just reduce dynamics and level

Active crossover ; splits signal between different frequency bands, so you can use a different amp for subs to that which you use for mid/tops. This greatly improves clarity and headroom

Effects units ; used to enhance input signals and make your voice sound all the better!
